These dairy free homemade waffles are simple and delicious. The ingredients are pretty minimum, and you just need one mixing bowl and a waffle maker. I like to add a vanilla protein powder to these to make them a little bit more filling.
Whisk together the eggs, avocado oil, almond milk, protein powder, and coconut sugar.
Once it’s fully combined, add the flour, salt, and baking powder and gently mix before whisking it into the wet batter.
Cook to your desired crispiness in your waffle maker and enjoy with your favorite toppings!
Notes
You can use a plant based protein powder, whichever flavor you like. We prefer just ingredients whey protein in vanilla flavor which is what I used for this recipe. You can add more if you'd like. We love to top with my simple blueberry syrup or strawberry syrup with some vanilla yogurt. My kids love it with pure maple syrup, too.Store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. They reheat very well in a toaster oven and tend to keep their crispiness. You could use a normal toaster, too.
