Ingredients
These are a very simple snack with minimal ingredients!
- Greek Yogurt, we prefer vanilla
- dark chocolate chips, or whichever kind of chocolate you prefer
- chia seeds
- fruit of choice, we love blueberries
See recipe card for quantities and full list of ingredients.
Instructions
This recipe takes just a few minutes to assemble then the freezer does the rest. Grab your ingredients and a baking tray with some parchment paper.

- Step 1: Spread your yogurt on your parchment paper.

- Step 2: Melt chocolate and drizzle over. Add chocolate chips and a tiny bit of coconut oil to a bowl and microwave a few seconds at a time until melted, stirring every few seconds.

- Step 3: Sprinkle chia seeds on top.

- Step 4: Press blueberries into the top.

- Step 5: Freeze, then once it is completely solid, cut into squares. Store in the freezer.
Hint: Don't layer the yogurt on too thin because it will break very easily once it's frozen.
Substitutions
You can swap out any of the ingredients to make it your own.
- Bananas - instead of blueberries, you can use bananas
- Strawberry Yogurt - You can use a fruity flavored yogurt like strawberry to switch things up. I have tried it before and it was very good!
- Honey- If you aren't a fan of chocolate, drizzle some honey on top!
Variations
I have tried so many combinations that I may share in a separate post later but for not I will list them below.
- Strawberry yogurt base with bananas and blueberries and chocolate drizzle
- Vanilla Yogurt base with Strawberries and chocolate drizzle
- Vanilla Yogurt base with Strawberries, Blueberries, and Bananas. I have had it with and without chocolate.
Equipment
You will just need something to melt your chocolate ( I use a microwave), and a freezer.
Storage
Once frozen, cut or break into squares and leave in a sealed container in your freezer.
Top Tip
Prepare when there is a very hot week ahead. These are more nutritious and less sugary than the typical ice pops!
