    Kid Approved Banana Bites

This post may contain affiliate links.

These kid approved peanut butter maple banana bites are delicious, nutritious, and take just 5 minutes to make. If you have picky eaters, this little snack is for you! The best part is that big kids can make these for themselves and little one's can still help, too.

These snacks are made with healthy ingredients that you probably have already. Bananas are the base, then you dollop on peanut butter mixed with a pure maple syrup. You can drizzle dark chocolate over them to make them even better, but they honestly don't need it.

Once you've tried this simple snack, you'll be making it again and again! It would be super adaptable if you wanted to sub the peanut butter for a different nut butter and sub the pure maple syrup for honey. You could sprinkle chia and flax seeds on there, too. Play around and add some extra toppings.

    ingredients for banana bites
    sliced banana
    sliced banana with peanut butter

Try not to eat the whole plate of peanut butter maple banana bites.

    Equipment:

    • Microwave (or a way to melt the peanut butter and the chocolate)
    • plate
    • knife
    • spoon
    • 2 microwave safe small bowls
    • measuring spoons.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 Large Bananas
    • 4 tablespoon Peanut Butter
    • 1 tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
    • For the chocolate drizzle:
    • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
    • ⅛ Cup dark chocolate chips

    Instructions:

    1. Wash your hands and grab your ingredients and equipment.
    2. Peel and cut your banana into quarter like slices. However thick you want; I usually do about ½ inch.
    3. Spread the banana slices out on your plate.
    4. Microwave your peanut butter until melted (About 15 seconds) and then add in your pure maple syrup.
    5. Stir it together and then dollop it into your banana slices.
    6. Add your coconut oil and dark chocolate together and microwave to melt. Make sure you are stirring every 10 seconds until melted.
    7. Drizzle over the plate. Add other toppings if you want.
    8. Enjoy!

These sound delicious and something my kids would love! I don't have a microwave have you ever tried heating it in a toaster oven? Or would stove top be better?

Stovetop would be great + you could use the same little pot for the peanut butter and then the chocolate! 🙂
