These quick and easy date bars taste like candy! They're so delicious and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. They have just a few ingredients. If you don't love the taste of dates, don't worry. These taste like a candy bar.

These remind me so much of a Snicker's but without the guilt. They take just a few ingredients and about twenty minutes of chill time. Keep them in the refrigerator for a few days but you will likely gobble them up before that! My whole family loves these. They really are one of the closest recipes to actual candy that have healthier ingredients.

There are so many similar viral recipes that are going around so I wasn't going to share it but they are too good not to share! I like using pecans in these instead of peanuts. You can use whichever nuts you want.
Equipment
- Two Small microwave safe bowls
- Knife
- Cutting Board
- Measuring Spoons
- Measuring Cups
Ingredients
- 8 Oz Medjool Dates
- ¼ Cup Peanut Butter
- ¼ Cup Pecans
- ½ Cup Dark Chocolate
- Flaky Sea salt
Instructions
- Gather everything you need. Start out by halving your dates. Do this with a knife and do not cut them totally in half. You want them to be bigger pieces to flatten out and stay together better for the bars.
- Check for mold, I have found mold on several occasions.
- Put a piece of parchment paper down on a pan. Spread out your dates and flatten them into a large rectangle. I put them sticky (insides) side down. Make sure them overlap a tiny but so that they stay together and nothing runs through any cracks.
- Melt your peanut butter and melt your chocolate.
- Spread your peanut butter over the dates then spread your chocolate over the dates.
- Chop your pecans into tiny pieces and sprinkle all over the tops of the bars.
- Add a pinch of flaky sea salt.
- Place in the freezer for about twenty minutes or so until they are firm enough to cut into bars.
- Enjoy!

Notes
- You can use pecans, walnuts, or peanuts. You can also use whichever chocolate you prefer. You can add as many toppings as you'd like!
Storage
- Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Can I use pitted dates?
Absolutely. It only takes an extra second to remove them since you are halving them anyway!

What an awesome recipe! Wow, I love it, with no sugar added (well except what's in the chocolate, but I usually use bittersweet with natural sweetener, so I think this could be considered 'health food', Yes?! Love it!
