This recipe is going to be your new go-to! It really is the best easy homemade pizza dough. Don't let homemade pizza intimidate you. It doesn't have to be complicated or take an entire day. This recipe will boost your confidence in making easy and delicious pizza and be a crowd pleaser, for sure!

    Homemade Pizza Dough
    Easy and delicious pizza dough

There are so many different ways to make pizza crust and I have made all sorts of variations. Keto pizza, sourdough pizza, focaccia pizza. This one is the fastest and easiest for me. It makes a nice fluffy crust and bakes well even when it's loaded up with toppings. I can always count on it turning out the same and being delicious.

The ingredients are so simple, and it takes just a few minutes to mix up. It will be ready to bake after rising 1-2 hours. My all-time favorite version of this pizza is my veggie pizza which you can find here. If I could only pick one food to eat the rest of my life, I'm picking veggie pizza.

I like to use my KitchenAid to mix up the dough, but you can do it by hand if you prefer. I have this one but I got it on sale around Christmas. Watch for a sale around black Friday or the holidays. If you have a Sam's club near you, check there. They usually have more reasonable prices.

Okay, let's walk through this together and by the end you'll have a nice boost of confidence!

    Equipment

    • Stand Mixer
    • Measuring Cups
    • Measuring Spoons
    • Bowl Cover

    Ingredients:

    • 1 ⅓ cups warm water around 100°F
    • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
    • 1 TBSP sugar
    • 1 TBSP honey
    • 2 TBSP olive oil
    • 1 ½ tsp lawry's garlic salt. You can use regular salt.
    • 3.5 Cups organic all purpose flour
Homemade Pizza Dough Cooked with toppings

    Instructions:

    1. In your stand mixer- add warm water, yeast, and sugar. Then mix it around with your hand and leave it alone until it is a little bit foamy. Probably 3-5 minutes.
    2. Add in the honey, olive oil, garlic salt and slowly add in the flour.
    3. Mix on low with your dough hook attachment or use your hands for 5-7 minutes.
    4. Once your dough bounces back when you lightly press it with your finger- it's ready to rise.
    5. Allow it to rise for 1-2 hours or until it has doubled in size. This will depend on the temperature of your house. The rise is faster in a warmer temperature. I let it rise in my oven with just the light on and the door shut.
    6. Once it has doubled in size- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Punch down the dough.
    7. Roll it out or use your hands, leaving the edges a bit thicker for a nice crust. Let it rest for 5 minutes and then add your toppings. It's ready to bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is light golden brown.
